The theme of 2020’s Forum was Put Out Your Nets Into Deeper Water: An Invitation to Prayer. The weekend was to push us to deepen our definition of prayer beyond a “duty” and toward an expression of our fullest experience of being human. Building on this definition, we discussed and workshopped how we deepen our prayer lives and seek to broaden our spirituality both privately and publicly. Author and speaker Bruce Hindmarsh was the featured guest at the fifth annual Forum, where we reflected on the intersection of faith and culture as it relates to the inner life and spirituality. Bruce is the James M. Houston Professor of Spiritual Theology and Professor of the History of Christianity at Regent College in Vancouver, B.C.
